Pythagorean Theorem
The Pythagorean Theorem formula is a^2+b^2=c^2 you can only use it on a right triangle. We can apply the Pythagorean Theorem in real life. If i want to get in my room from the bathroom i could go left then turn right, or i can go diagonal and get there faster. We can identify the hypotenuse in a right triangle because it is the longest side and it is across from the right angle. The Pythagorean Theorem can not hold a non-right triangle. If we were only provided with information containing one leg and the hypotenuse of the triangle, and they tell you to find the other leg you have to find. First you would have to write the formula a^2+b^2=c^2 then you plug in 6^2+b^2=10^2.Next you would square what you plug in then you would have 36+b^2=100. Then you subtract 36 on both side of the equal sign and you would have b^2=64. Last you have to dived 2/64 and you get 8 so b=8 that’s how you find the other leg.
